Mardi Gras Ball Soccer Tournament

HOST: This tournament is sponsored by the Greater New Orleans Women’s Soccer League.

WHEN: February 15th and 16th 2020, with team check-in and registration on Friday, February 14th from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Wyndham Garden Hotel (hotel information below). 

WHERE: The tournament will be held in Lafreniere Park in the Greater New Orleans Area.

FORMAT: All teams will be scheduled to play at least 3 games, weather permitting. All games, including the Finals, will be 30-minute halves. Games will be refereed according to current FIFA rules.

DIVISIONS: There will be three divisions*. Teams will be placed in divisions based on league standings. TEAMS: Maximum roster size is 22. All teams must be USSF registered, or if from outside the United States, registered with your own national soccer league. All teams are required to obtain a travel permit from their state or national association. Here is a link to a form you can use for the travel permit. You are not required to use this form; if your league has a different travel permit you may use it.
